Premise
Timelords travel through time with the aid of devices
called TARDISes (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space), handy gadgets
that can -- theoretically -- transform themselves to appear as virtually
anything. The Doctor, however, has a *small* problem with his TARDIS
-- it's permanently stuck in the shape of a blue police call box.
Not to worry. He can still go anywhere in any time and have plenty
of adventures!
Dr. Who is the longest-running sf/fantasy
series in TV history. A perennial favorite in both Britain and the
US, it still boasts conventions, fanzines, clubs and thousands of fans
the world over.
